Champagne in the parc

Now that the temperatures rise every day, it really feels like summer. And with the warm weather comes all the fun outdoor activities, my favorite being a leisurely weekend picnic. A little while ago we were lucky to have weather just perfect for a picnic in the park. Not too hot, nor too chilly. We packed up some of our favourite snacks with a bottle of champagne and headed to Holland Park for a beautiful, relaxing afternoon. After filling up on some delicious food, we sunbathed on the blanket. It was such a lovely day! So often we get caught up in trying to make plans and entertain our weekends with "new" activities and forget how fun and wonderful simple things like these are. I always like to take advantage of the semi-warm weather and put on a dress - so I opted for this navy one with small striped details and some comfortable pink flats for a relaxing, but fabulous picnic.

Vermilion Shades

*** One warm morning I lay in my bed caressed by the ray of sunlight pointing like a golden finger through the dust particles in the air. Stretching like a lazy cat, I stuck my toes out from under the sheets and wiggled them, enjoying the feeling.  Then, lots of light! Someone had pulled the curtain open.. A smiling face beamed at me. "Hello, sleepy head!" he whispered.. "It's a beautiful day!" And so I discovered when we went on the terrace, as the sun filtered through the leaves turned everything into a symphony of soft greens.  The air felt warm on my cheeks for the first time in months, and that afternoon I wandered around streets of blossomed trees, fascinated by the shades of melted vermilion the town was covered in. At one point it felt like I was part of an old movie. London does that a lot, and especially when the sun makes that perfect golden hour light that is reflected in all of the windows... ***

Mermaid Life

*** I couldn’t wait to share with you my latest adventures and all the beautiful pictures we took on our holiday. I’m sure you all heard about that piece of Paradise, the smell of salty water from afar blending with the scent of pine trees.. mountains and the sea in the same place - the perfect landscape, that overwhelms my eyes every time.  Trees were covered with powdered limestone, making them look full of snow, and I was enchanted by the color of the Ionian Sea. Like a mermaid away from the world, lulled by the sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs... How beautiful nature is and how wonderful that we can take delight in it! ***
