LFW AW16 Day 3

Image
Finally, here is the look I wore on the 3rd day of LFW, ready for the last shows I decided to attend.  To achieve that smart twist, I've paired a black blazer with the undisputed piece of the season - a slip dress.  I chose one with a wisp of lace, to give a touch of luxe simplicity and  a pair of leather boots to complete the effortless look. Hope you're all having a wonderful start of spring! xx Escada blazer (similar  here  and here ) // Asos slip dress in Navy (you can find a very similar model  here ) Zara red belt //  Garkony black leather  boots  //  L'Oreal lipstick in  Pure Red   Hair & Makeup:  L'Oreal Paris Studio Pro

LFW AW16 Day 2

Image
It's been a while... and I know I'm very late with my fashion week posts..  I decided to take some time off, to think, to breathe, to live, to disconnect.  Have you ever felt like you don't know what's going on anymore, like you are confused about the tiniest aspect of your life...? That's simply how I felt and a break was what I needed.  London seems so chaotic lately; and I don't think it's just London, but the whole world. It is all about west and east, dawn to midnight, walking horizontally and taking life pauses vertically. Drinking tea in hotel salons and never noticing the roses or the clouds chasing one another in small shivers... So here I am during Day 2 of LFW, wearing a white silk blazer, navy coat and a blouse which I’ve paired with accessories in crimson hues. The beauty of red is that there are many interpretations and tones. Those beautiful dresses and feisty red lips, as seen on the big screen, cemented the colour's plac...

LFW AW16 Day 1

Image
It’s almost 15 degrees outside and the air feels crisp with change. Call me optimistic (?!? I know, I'm surprised myself haha), but spring is but a few streets away. London always brings about inspiration to have a little fun by mixing and matching colours and patterns. Don’t be afraid to play with your own wardrobes, you’ll amaze yourself with more combinations than you think. Here I am on the first busy day of London Fashion Week AW16 wearing an animal print coat and a silk dress with some femme fatale heels. So much of our time is spent inside a coat. It's the first thing people notice, so it has to be great. And snake print is a definite can't-live-without for autumn-winter. xx Marc Jacobs coat // vintage hat & bag // Warehouse emerald dress //  Agent Provocateur heels Photos by: Mara Silvanna

A Dream Within A Dream

Image
Edgar Allan Poe was a brilliant mind, and today, writing this post, I fancy nothing else than a little poetry and some dreams of winter... Take this kiss upon the brow! And, in parting from you now, Thus much let me avow- You are not wrong, who deem That my days have been a dream; Yet if hope has flown away In a night, or in a day, In a vision, or in none, Is it therefore the less gone? All that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream. I stand amid the roar Of a surf-tormented shore, And I hold within my hand Grains of the golden sand- How few! yet how they creep Through my fingers to the deep, While I weep- while I weep! O God! can I not grasp Them with a tighter clasp? O God! can I not save One from the pitiless wave? Is all that we see or seem But a dream within a dream?                                           ...

The First Snow

Image
Oh what a frantic last month has been... For an indecisive girl like me, I’m always between places, switching between favourites and swapping preferences like scarves. Bucharest used to make me miss London, but now London makes me miss Bucharest. However, I cannot help but congratulate myself on this sudden pause where I feel no need to run away but simply, stay. Then I read this back and fear I’m writing in riddles, which makes sense I suppose, as my emotions are an endless labyrinth.  One morning back home, I had the chance to take these lovely winter wonderland shots. Bright and early that morning, we were able to see the untouched thick layer of snow along the park that had decorated the city overnight. The sky was clear and blue, the winter sun was mild and warm. Gelid drops of dew were falling on the green turfs looking as beautiful as pearls.  I was so happy to see the snow after such a long time.  It started indeed to feel a little bit chilly, but I did...

How To Wear Black Without Looking Boring

Image
Black always looked so edgy and mysterious. You can never go wrong with an all-black ensemble which lends itself nicely to a downtown look. The beauty of black? You can mix textures without the fear of creating an overly busy outfit. Here I blended fringe, leather, silk and suede in one uber chic outfit. To jazz up the look, I chose a starry print as well. And there you have an ideal way to add a dose of cool to your monochrome outfit. Christmas Gift Guide

Image
Cashmere, cinnamon, the smell of freshly baked cookies. I love December.. so cosy and fragrant. I go back to childhood and relive the ritual of decorating the Christmas tree with my mom, while grandma was making gingerbread and my dad building snowmen. I always get excited at the thought of arranging the table, decorating the house and buying presents. And what else would anyone need for a perfect Christmas, other than your family and a lovely setting. So here it is, a fabulous gift guide, along with other pretty ideas which I hope you will enjoy at least as much as I did while preparing it. xx Shop the gift guide:  Elie Beaumont watch Fever Collection body Clara Olivia  bra (15% off with code PIXIE15) Diesel sunglasses from TK MAXX Snake bracelet from here Essie nail polish in a cut above Lancôme La vie est belle  perfume & body lotion The Body Shop bronzing powder The Body Shop shimmering dry oil Chansons pour elle et a...
