The Marsy brothers, Balthazar (c. 1624-1681) and Gaspard (1628-1674) were sculptors employed by King Louis XIV. They created the Fountain of Bacchus for the King's gardens at Versailles, along with the Fountain of Latone, mother of Apollo and Artemis, and the Fountain of Enceladus, the grand trumpeter. If Bacchus was a god of excess, Louis XIV was his fervent acolyte. Fully a third of the cost of the renovations to Versailles was spent on the waterworks to supply its 50 fountains. Thanks to Louis XIV, water is a problem at Versailles to this day.

Hello, my darlings. As most of you may already know, I was lucky enough to be shortlisted for the Best New Fashion Blog Award sponsored by Next at the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards. So on Tuesday I made my way over to the OXO Tower in London for the Blog Awards Bash to find out who the winners were. I put my brave face on and with a glass of bubbles in my hand, I went to introduce myself to some friendly looking bloggers. I met a lot of lovely people and after about an hour and a half of mingling, all of the bloggers gathered at one end of the room to hear the results we had all been waiting for. Even though my blog didn't win, I have no other reason but to be happy and proud that Journaux Des Fetichismes is in the top 10 (out of 46,000 applicants..yep, you read that right haha) Best New Fashion Blogs. Scarlet Rage Vintage  has established itself as a favourite for one of London’s best vintage shops, with an excellent selection of womenswear from the Twenties to the late Sixties. Both outlets – one in Crouch End, the other at Camden Market – are constantly receiving new stock. Shop owner Jade Stavri has recently opened the shop in Camden’s Stables Market with a lovely launch party. I decided to pop down to the shop to meet the event host, lovely Vanessa Frankenstein and enjoy all the amazing vintage pieces. As soon as you walk into the shop you notice all the clothes are beautifully displayed and clean, ironed and not stuffed into overfull rails. They range from Fifties prom dresses, leopard-print swing coats and gypsy blouses to Thirties & Forties silk dresses or early Sixties lace maxis. Walking past all these, at the far end of the market the bright lipstick red and twinkling lights of Scarlet Rage Vintage greeted me.  It was definitely a night...

Les pendentifs "Petites Malles" de Louis Vuitton Pour rendre hommage à ses malles iconiques,  la maison française leur dédie trois pendentifs en or précieux.  Des bijoux d'une minutie extrême à porter au creux du cou. Issus de la collection Petites Malles, ces trois pendentifs en or jaune ont fait leur apparition sur le podium du défilé Louis Vuitton automne-hiver 2014-2015, premier show de Nicolas Ghesquière en tant que directeur artistique de la maison française. Horizontal, rectangulaire, ouvert... Chaque coffre miniature se balance sur une chaîne aux maillons en forme de serrures. D'une minutie extrême, ils sont gravées des mêmes détails que ceux inscrits sur les véritables malles de voyage et le poinçon au verso rappelle ceux des lingots d'or. De vrais petits trésors à découvrir dès à présent en boutique.
